Cigar FAQs
Where are Cremo cigars made?
Cremo cigars are rolled by hand at the Cremo Cigar Factory on Calle Ocho in Little Havana, Miami, and at Tabacalera Cremo in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. You can watch them being made on a Miami factory tour.
What is the difference between packs, bundles and the club?
Premium cigars are sold as singles or in 5 and 10 count packs. Factory Select bundles are larger quantities, from 15 to 50 cigars, of Cremo long-filler tobacco without band or box. The monthly club delivers 4, 8 or 10 cigars every month.
Which Cremo cigar should a beginner try first?
Start mild to medium: a Connecticut Factory Select bundle, the Reserva de Oro or Grandeur, or the five-cigar Variety Pack to compare blends. How to choose your first cigar.
What are the different cigar sizes and shapes available?
Cigars come in various sizes and shapes. Common shapes include Robusto, Churchill, Toro, Corona and Torpedo, measured by length and ring gauge (diameter). Robustos are typically around 5 inches long with a ring gauge of 50, while Churchills can reach 7 inches with a larger ring gauge. Most Cremo cigars come in Robusto (5×50) and Toro (6×52).
What types of wrappers are used in cigars?
Wrappers shape flavor, appearance and burn. Popular options include Connecticut Shade (mild, smooth), Habano (rich, spicy), Maduro (dark, sweet) and Cameroon (slightly spicy, aromatic).
How should I store cigars to keep them fresh?
Keep cigars in a humidor at 65–70% humidity and around 70°F (21°C), away from sunlight and strong smells. Rotate them now and then so they age evenly.
How do I cut and light a cigar correctly?
Use a sharp cutter or punch for a clean, straight cut, taking off only the cap so the wrapper does not unravel. Light with a wooden match or butane lighter, holding the flame near the foot without touching it, and rotate the cigar for an even burn. Avoid regular lighters and candles, which can taint the taste.
What is the best way to enjoy a cigar?
Take your time. Do not inhale; let the smoke move around your mouth to taste it. Many smokers pair a cigar with whiskey or coffee and a comfortable setting with good conversation.
